Deep Cleaning Your Hot Tub

There’s nothing quite like soaking in your hot tub after a long day, but let’s be real, that sparkling crystal clear water can turn into a murky bubble bath after some time.

We normally recommend draining and refilling your hot tub every 3 to 4 months- or 3 to 4 times a year, but sometimes that just doesn’t do the trick. Performing a deep clean once a year with a system cleanse is a simple solution to getting rid of any of those nasty contaminants that have been built up in the plumbing causing all the issues you’ve been dealing with. Fear not, Hydra is here to help!

Step 1: Buy Spa Pure System Cleanse. One bottle treats up to 750 gallons of water. Do not use the hot tub while treatment is added.

Step 2: Make sure the temperature is heated above 90 degrees and add the entire bottle to the water with the pump turned off.Viking Hot Tub

Step 3: Turn pumps on to the highest speed for 5 minutes and turn the diverter valves allowing water to come from every jet. For older spas, leave the pump on for 10 minutes.

Step 4: Leave the hot tub to operate normally overnight. Afterwards, repeat step 3.

Step 5: Drain the spa and clean all the surfaces, including filters, pillows, and cover.

Step 6: Refill the tub with fresh water and rebalance the water chemistry.

Step 7: Relax and enjoy your hot tub!
