When Do I Use Oxidizing Shock? 

There is no set time to shock your pool or hot tub due to so many variables. Make sure you are testing your water to find out when you need to use oxidizing shock. 

Oxidizing Shock Vs Chlorine Shock 

Both chlorine and oxidizing shock are great oxidizers, and we recommend using both when needed. Oxidizing shock is good to use when you don’t want to boost the chlorine in the water. You can enter the water 15 minutes after using this product. Chlorine can be harsh on surfaces, and can corrode metals if it’s not stored properly. On the other hand, chlorine shock is also super effective at killing algae and bacteria in the water, but you will have to wait some time before entering the pool.
