Getting Started With Salt 

 

Note: This information applies only to the Blu Fusion Salt System.

 

What is the Blu Fusion Salt System? 

 

The Blu Fusion Salt System is an automated bromine generator. It works by converting salt (sodium bromide) into bromine to sanitize your spa.  

 

After Delivery 

 

  1. Once your Aspen Spa has been delivered, begin filling the tub using the Pure Fill Pro Pre-Filter.
  2. Test and balance the water. 
  3. Once the water temperature is over 92℉, add 1.2 pounds of Tru Blu Sodium Bromide Salt per 100 gallons of water. Allow time to circulate. 
  4. Test the salt level using the Tru Blu Test Strips. The sodium bromide level should be between 1,700-1,800 PPM. 
  5. Add the entire packet of Tru Start Water Clarifier to the spa and allow the water to circulate. 
  6. Refer to the chart in the generator’s manual to set the salt controls.  
  7. Activate bromine by adding .5 oz of oxidizing shock per 100 gallons of water. 

 

How is the Blu Fusion Salt System Easier? 

 

  • Drain once a year instead of 3-4 times a year. 
  • Clean filters once a month instead of once a week. 
  • Long-term costs are lower compared to traditional chlorine/bromine. 
  • Water feels softer and is gentler on sensitive eyes and skin.
