Troubleshooting the Most Common Hot Tub Issues

Owning a hot tub is all about relaxation- until something stops working like it should. The good news? Most hot tub issues are easy to identify and fix with a little guidance. Here are some common hot tub issues and how to troubleshoot them. 

⭐ Jets Not Working Properly 

• Make sure that the jets are all the way open. 
• Ensure that you have a clean filter. 
• Clean dirt and debris from behind the jets. 
• Make sure that the pump is operating properly. 

⭐ How to Drain the Hot Tub

• Locate the drain on the corner of the spa.
• Pull the drain out partially to allow water to flow. To restrict water flow, pull all the way out. 
• Twist cap off and attach a garden hose.
• Push back partially to drain the water. 
• Reverse this procedure to stop the water flow. 

Note: Make sure to fill the spa through the filter housing to prevent airlock.

⭐ Unlocking the Topside (2025 Viking Spas)

• Touchscreen Control Panel:  You can lock the panel and/or settings by creating a 4 digit pin. Go into the settings, and select ‘security’, this will take you through the process. 
• Standard Control Panel: Press and hold the ‘up’ button’- slowly press and release the ;menu’ button twice. 
• If you are using a different topside, reference your owners manual.
