Troubleshooting Your FROG Leap

If you are you using the FROG Leap system and keep getting zero for your chlorine reading, don’t panic—it’s usually something simple. Here’s a quick troubleshooting guide to get things back on track.

  1. Check the Torpedo Pac
    • Start with the basics. If your Torpedo Pac is empty (or nearly empty), your system can’t produce any sanitizer. Swap it out if needed.Frog Leap Setting Chart
  2. Verify the Infuzer Setting
    • Make sure your Infuzer is set to the proper setting for your pool size. If its set too low, it won’t release enough chlorine to maintain a residual.
  3. Test Your Stabilizer
    • Low cyanuric acid can cause chlorine to burn off quickly, especially in sunny conditions. Ensure your levels are in the recommended range so your chlorine can actually stick around.
  4. Shock the Pool at NightFrog Leap Program for your above ground pool
    • If everything checks out and you’re still at zero chlorine, try shocking your pool after the sun goes down. This gives your water a boost in free chlorine and eliminates anything that might be consuming it.

A zero chlorine reading doesn’t always mean your system isn’t working, it usually just needs a small adjustment. If you’re still stuck, give us a call at 803-203-1322 or bring in a water sample and we’ll help you dial it in.
